BLINN BUCS-RANGER FOCTBALL ACTION-In the picture
on the left, Blinn split end Harold’ Williams (85) is shown
leaping high to snare a pass thrown by quarterback Allen
Smith midway through the second quarter of Saturday night’s
conference contest bewteen the Bucs and Ranger, played at
Spencer Field. Williams was the leading pass receiver of the
game, catching six for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Coming
up to make the tackle is Ranger linebacker Danny Vara (61)
and halfback Larry Quast (22). The center photo shows Blinn
halfback Carl Hayes (80) being brought down in front of
Blinn’s bench by Jesse Bibbs (31). The Rangers’ Bob Mc-
Murray (25) comes up to help out. In the picture on the right,
Buc fullback Josh Ashton (44) rains forward on one of his
24 carries during the contest. He was the games’ leading
rusher, with 134 yards gained. Bringing the speedy fullback
down is McMurray (25), as Ronnie Smith (83) comes up to
assist. Blinn won their homecoming contest, 27-12.
