Rams Upset Victory Over Browns

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 24. —
Pro football's three master passers
met in Memorial Coliseum Sunday,
but two of them ganged up on
the third. As a result, the Los An-

It was just about a standoff be-

Rams. Between them, they had

minutes of the ball game.
Then young Norman Van Brock-

HOUSTON, Dec 24. (—It will
be all work and no play for Ken-
tucky’s Cotton-Bowl bound football
team in five days of training here.
Coach Paul Bryant hopes this
will cause the reverse of the old
saying about making a dull boy.
"We've got to get in a lot of
work to sharpen our attack and
defense,” he said. “I don’t know
what kind of shape the team to
in now.”
Bryant got some sort of Idea Sun-
day, shortly after his squad of 48
arrived. He had the Wildcat grid-
ders in their working togs and out
on the turf of Rice Institute’s stad-
ium.
"We didn’t get to work out but
twice in the gym and the boys
worked out three days on their
own,” he said, adding the weather
was extremely bad for practice in
Kentucky.
The Wildcats went on a two-
a-day work schedule today with
scrimmaging on tap the next coup-
le of days.
Kentucky will go to Dallas by
'train Friday to get in a last couple
of licks of practice at the site of
their New Year’s Day meeting
with the Southwest Conference
champion, Texas Christian.
Bryant figured Kentucky would
“spread out some and throw"
against Texas Christian, but his
basic formation is the T.
"You know we've never met a
team that uses the spread forma-
tion like Texas Christian,” he said.
