By RICHARD KASISCHKE
MOSCOW V—An unusual article
in Pravda today said it was fully ._______,__, ____
obvious that as improvement in paper's foreign news page, possi-
Soviet-American relations was vital bly was of considerable signifi-
to the interests of both countries eance.
and that their cooperation would
be "the paramount factor in lessen-

Yet the author, D. D. Kraminov,
one of Pravda’s prominent corres.
pondents who has covered United
Nations sessions, set forth no pro-
posals on how American Soviet re-
lations might be bettered except
to claim that the United States
should change its course.
The writer largely devoted his
space to accusing President Eisen-

in an auto accident Sunday. *
A companion. Cecil Drake of
Coleman, received a broken nose,
lacerations around the face and
head, and a “mild” back injury,
but was not in serious condition,
a doctor said.
A third passenger in the car,
E. E. Eldred, also of Coleman,
was released from the hospital fol-
lowing treatment for lacerations.
Ths three men were travelling
from Burkett to Coleman Sunday
at 12:45 p.m. when their car
crashed into a bridge near Burk-
ett. the sheriffs office here said.
Boyett’s chest was crushed in
the accident and “practically all"
the ribs on either side of his chest
bone were broken, the doctor said.
He was still in shock Tuesday.
If Boyett makes it through the
next day or two, “his chances will
be better,” the doctor said. But
he emphasized his condition was
very critical.
The sheriff’s office is investigat-

“The history of relations between
the U.S.A., and the U.S.S. R. shows
that always when these countries
have gone together and when
friendly relations existed between
them it served the interests of both
peoples, served the cause of the
struggle against the forces of war
and destruction and served the
cause of peace and progress,”
Kraminov wrote.
“And the opposite has been true
when the United States conducted
an unfriendly policy toward the
Soviet Union. Then it brought noth-
ing but harm to the American peo-
ple and was used by the forces of
war and internal reaction against
the interests of peace and the se-
curity of the peoples."
