Clinton St. Mr. and Mrs. Caffey
sued Stevens to recover 81,000 for
damages to their car.
On the basis of the jury’s ver-
dict they would receive a judg-
ment of $412.50 against Stevens.
The jury found the value of their
car was $462.50 before the acci-
dent and $50 afterwards.
In answering special issues the
jury stated it found from the evi-
dence that Stevens was guilty of
negligence in entering the Intersec-
tion on s red light, falling to yield
right-of-way and failing to keep a
proper lookout and that in each in-
I stance the negligence was a "prox-
imate cause" of the accident.

of 1.314 men for January was
made today by State Draft Direc-
tor Paul Wakefield.
He laid 4.000 Texas youths will
be sent for draft pre-induction phy-
sical examinations in January, the
largest number since May.
Local board should receive quo-
tes by Dec. 1. The call for 1314
compares with s range of 1.250 to
1,800 since June. Local quotas
must be filled with men 20 or older
if possible. If necessary to resch

under 20.

in question in Fair Park. The arm-
ory would be more valuable for
recreation than anything we could

about this question, only one has
said he was opposed to locating
