Hegyi on Violin
Members of the Abilene-Taylor
County Physically Handicapped
Club were guests of the Abilene
Mental Health Society at a Christ-
mas party Thursday night at the
American Red Cross building. Fea-
tured entertainers at the af-
fair were Mr. and Mrs. Julius
Hegyi, Miss Nena Williams, and
Misa Joanne Barney.
Hegyi, conductor of the Abilene
Symphony orchestra played selec-
tions on the violin by Brahms,
Gossec, Gershwin, Kreisler, Dona-
to, Schumann, and Kroll. Highlight
of the Hegyi presentation was a
Rondo for Violin and Plano com-
posed by Mrs. Charlotte Hegyi
who accompanied her husband.
Miss Williams sang two solos.
“Cantique de Noel,” by Adam, and
“Gesu Bambino," by Yon, and led
the group in Christmas carols She
waa accompanied by Miss Reba
Dones.
Joanne Barney did a ballet solo,
Reflections on the Water.
Mrs. Margie Bailey, local Red
Cross worker, arranged the party
Gifts were presented to the mem-
bers of the handicapped group who
were present.
Hit, Run Victim
WACO, Dec. 18 LB—Richard C.
Carlton, 18, Waco, died in a hos-
pital here late Thursday of injuries
received Friday in a hit and run
accident.
Probe to Continue
In Oilman's Death
CRANE U—A grand jury has
recommended that an investiga-
tion into the death of Herbert
Summy, Port Worth and Odessa
oil man, he continued “on an
active basis."
Summy, 52, waa found dead in
his car near here April 1. A garden
hose ran from the car exhaust
pipe. An inquest verdict of suicide
was returned.
Mrs. Summy had the body ex-
burned three months later for an
autopsy. Dr. John Andujar of Port
Worth reported Summy died from
a brain hemorrhage and there
were multiple fractures of the
face.
The grand jury reported after
nine days yesterday a peace Jus-
tice's suicide verdict “was Justin-
able and reasonable based on the
evidence available in him at the
time."
The jury recommended that “all
officers responsible for or associ-
ated with the investigation contin-
ue and maintain it on an active
basis."
The grand jury, which question-
ed 40 or more witneaaea, said it
had not developed sufficient evi-
dence to indict. No evidence of
malfeasance of officers concerned
was found, the report said.
The widow and several other
persona testified they had received
telephone threats demanding they
drop the inquiry.

Accident Fatal
FORT MORGAN, Colo. (—Rob-
ert Patrick, 49, of Jacksboro, Tex.,
wss killed Wednesday when a
heavy rope used in pulling drill
pipe st an oil well tangled about
his body. The accident happened
in the Middlemist Field, 30 miles
south of here.
