Deposits Decrease
A two -year -old Jersey bull.
Halo’s Windsor Jester, and an
eight-year-old Jersey cow, Mas-
terman’s Standard Ann, were
named grand champions of the
West Texas Spring Jersey Show
here Tuesday.
The bull belongs to Harding
Burris, Elida, N. M. president of
the New Mexico Jersey Cattle
Club. The cow belongs to Sellers
Brothers of Ralla.
Both Burris and Sellers entries
were heavy winners in the adult
division of the show which ceded
Tuesday. Burris hsd seven other
first place winners and Frank Sel-
lers showed five of the brotners'
animals to first places.

52.6 pounds of milk with a 6.4 per
cent butterfat average.

Ann produced 35.7 pounds of
milk with a 2.7 per cent butterfat
content in the 24-hour testing per-
iod.
Entries in the West Texan
spring show were somewhat re-
duced by draught conditions which
have prevailed in the area from
some months, according to show
officials.
A number of entries failed to ar-
rive when the owners went to
work in their fields following last
week's good rains.
Both Burleson, Extension Ser-
vice dairy husbandman, judge of
the show, and Jimmy Davis, Den-
ton, field representative of the
American Jersey Cattle Club. Mid
that the quality of the animals
shown here was excellent Both
men expressed the hope that the
event would be continued and ef-
forts redoubled to make it one of
the big dairy shows of the state.

Laymen’s Revival Set
At University Church
A laymen’s revival will be held
Mey 2-8 at the University Baptist
Church.
Final plans for the revival were
formulated Monday night at the
regular monthly meeting of the
executive committee of the
church's brotherhood.
Clifford Leddy, 1758 North 10th
St., is chairman of the brother-
hood. He said approximately O
men will be on the program during
the meeting.
Dr. L. H. Tapscott, Dalles, state
secretary of the Baptist brother-
hood, will be the main speaker.
A layman will preside at each
service while another will read
the scripture and lead the prayer.
A personal testimony will be giv-
en by e layman at each service,
he said. -
Sweetwater Man
Injured in Crash
SWEETWATER, April 21—Glean
McDaniels, 28, of Sweetwater waa
injured Monday night in -a____
accident near here.
He suffered s broken collar bene
and other injuries.
Attending physicians said his
condition is “fairly serious.”
McDaniels was admitted to
Sweetwater Hospital.
The accident happened on a road
two miles south of Lake Sweet-
water. McDaniels waa a passenger
in a car driven by Leslie E. Py-
burn, 11, Sweetwater, which over-
| turned.
Pyburn escaped injury.
