LORAINE, Aug. 28. (RNS) -
Mr. and Mrs Jimmy Boone enter-
tained the employees of their store,
elose friends and relatives at a
barbecue supper at their home.
Served at tables set on the lawns
were: Don Nelson, daughter and
son-in-law of Mr. Boone from La-
mesa; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Snyder
and son, Ros Blanton, Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Tillison, Mr. and Mrs.
Oscar Hackfeld, Dr. and Mrs. Jeff
Hanna, Mary Rose Templeton,
Weldon McCollum, Norma Jan
Snyder and Billy Haggerton.

Mr. and Mrs. G. R. (Ray) Higgin-Snyder: Mr. and Mrs. Leon An-
botham celebrated their golden dress and Al, Walnut Springs; Mr.
wedding anniversary with open and Mrs. V. A. Cross, Nerita and
Joe Ray, Seguin, Tex.; Mr. and
Mrs. Dwight Cross, Mr. and Mrs.
Alfred Higginbotham and Johnny,
all of Fort Worth; Mr. and Mrs.
J. H. Higginbotham, Mr. and Mrs.
A. D. Higginbotham, Mrs. Mattie
Bowling, and Mrs. E. H Vaughn,
all of Hermleigh. Ninety - two
guests were registered.

Their wedding day was July 31,
1902. They were married at Ira in
the bride’s home. Mrs. Higginboth-
am was Emma Girrard.
The late Rev. J. C. R. Lockhart
read the marriage vows and Iva
Autry played the wedding march.
Mr. and Mrs. Higginbotham have
spent most of their married life in
the vicinity of Ira, Snyder and
Hermleigh.
Mr. and Mrs. Higginbotham have
five children, two boys and three
girls. They are J. H. Higginboth-
am, Midway community; Mrs. V.
A. Cross, Seguin; Alfred Higgin-
botham. Fort Worth: Mrs. Leon
Andress, Walnut Springs; Mrs. Sam
Head, Snyder.
Mrs. Cross presided at the reg-

son served the wedding cake. Oth-

RANGER, Aug. 26. (RNS) -
Evelyn Robinson, bride-elect of Joe
Weldon Harper, was honored with
a bridal gift party in the home
of Mrs. J D. Rogers. Mrs. Rogers
and daughter. Pug, were the hosts.
Miss Robinson, Mrs. E. P. Rob-
inson, mother of the honoree and
Mrs. J. D. Rogers received the
guests as they arrived. Cecilia
Mooney presided at the Bride’s
Book.
The table was laid with a lace
cloth, and the centerpiece was an
arrangement of white asters. Sue
Ewing and Lida Jane Smith served.
Move to Sweetwater
TRENT, Aug. 26. (RNS) —Mr.
and Mrs. W. O. Steen have moved
to Sweetwater. Steen, a cattle
buyer for several packing com-
panies, works in Sweetwater, Colo-
rado City, San Angelo, and Abi-
lene. Mrs. Ola Lee Winn of Abi-
lene will live in the Steen’s Trent
home for the 1952-53 school term,
while her son, Jimmy, a senior at-
tends Trent High School.
