Sealed proposals for construct-
ing 1.496 miles of Gr., Strs., Fnd.
Crs. & Two-Crs. Surf. Treat, from
Bee Creek Br. & Appros., ap-
prox. 4.5 mi. west of Meriian
on Highway No. SH22, covered
by C 120-3-10, in Bosque Coun-
ty, will be received at the High-
way Department, Austin, until
9:00 A.M., May 19, 1954, and
then publicly opened and read.
This is a "Public Works” Pro-
ject, as defined in House Bill No.
54 of the 43rd Legislature of the
State of Texas and House Bill
No. 115 of the 44th Legislature
of the State of Texas, and as such
is subject to the provisions of
said House Bills. No provisions
herein are intended to be in con-
flict with the provisions of said
Acts.
In accordance with the provis-
ions of said House Bills, the
State Highway Commission has
ascertained and set forth in the
proposal the wage rates, for each
craft or type of workman or me-
chanic needed to execute the
work on above named project,
now prevailing in the locality in
which the work is to be perform-
ed, and the Contractor shall pay
not less than these wage rates as
shown in the proposal for each
craft or type of laborer, work-
man or mechanic employed on
this project.
Legal holiday work shall be
paid for at the regular governing
rates.
Plans and specifications avail-
able at the office of T. H. Ralph,
Resident Engineer Clifton, Texas,
and Texas Highway Department,
