HOLLYWOOD - Janis Paige is
said to have had more stage-door
Johnnies waiting outside the thea-
ter when she appeared in “The
Pajama Game" in New York than
any other Broadway actress. When
she finally left the play after a
long and successful run, it was to
come to Hollywood to de a TV se-
ries for CBS called “It’s Always
Jan."
I visited Janis on the “Jen" set
at CBS and found her talking holi-
day . party - talk with several
other members of the cast The
girts were talking enthusiastically
about putting their holiday ward-
robes in order which prompted me
to ask Janis If she had her New
Year's Eve planned.
"Not exactly," she said with her
infectious smile, "but I am start-
ing to think about what I'll wear.
I have a terrible time making up
my mind. Sometimes I change
clothes three or four times before
I'm satisfied,”

Janis has green eyes and uses a
green eye shadow generally. She
always puts on three coats of mas-
cara, being careful to let each
coat dry before applying the next.
“I don't use rouge,” she said.
"Instead I wipe off some of the
make-up on my cheeks with oil so
that my own color comes
