deed" was proved true here last
week.
Neighbors and friends met at the
home of Mr and Mrs Henry
Schmidt east of Old Glory to cul-
tivate his farm. He is a patient in a
Wichita Falls hospital
Sixteen tractors and drivers
plowed the land and sowed oats,
while others were taking care of
other chores. Several women
brought food to serve at the noon
meal.
Jet Slams Into
Japanese House
ATSUGI, Japan U—A U. S
Navy F9F5 Panther jet crashed
into a Japanese house Thursday
near the naval air station here.
The pilot was killed and two Jap-
anese women occupants of the
house were taken to a hospital to
a state of shock.
The house was almost destroyed
and two others were damaged

COKE — Humble Oil and Refin-
ing Co. No. 8B Lou E. Johnson
Estate was completed 13 miles
northeast of Sterling City in the
Jameson Strawn Field. It is in
Section 3, Block 2, H&TC Survey.
Daily potential was 446.94.bar-
rels of 41.2 gravity oil, flowing
through a %-inch choke with 150
pounds on casing and 750 on tub-
ing. Flow was from perforations
at 6,735 - 6,809 feet. Casing was
set at 6,881 feet, with total depth
of 6,893. Gas-oil ratio was 1090-1.

east Winkler County wildcat, found
gas on a drillstem test in the
Ellenburger at 12,142-12,180 feet.
Tool was open one hour. Re-
covery was 2,730 feet of gas and
10 feet of slightly gas-cut mud. The
Ellenburger was topped at 12,134
feet. Operator was coring ahead

MIDLAND — Husky Oil Co. was
running casing for a test of the
Pennsylvanian in No. 1 Inez Fas-
ken. northwest Midland County
wildcat.
A failure in the Ellenburger. the
wildcat found interesting shows for
possible production on Pennsyl-
vanian drillstem test at 10,955-11,-
115 feet. Recovery was 30 feet of
free oil and 1,000 feet at heavily
oil and gas-cut water blanket, plus
190 feet of heavily oil and gas-cut
mud.
Location is in Section 31, Block
39, T-1-S. T&P Survey.

C. S. Yust Gets Promotion
At Humble's Winters Office
WINTERS, March 1 (RNS) —C. Houston, then in California, and
S. Yust has been promoted to the
position of district superintendent
for Humble Oil and Refining Com-
pany's production district with
headquarters at Winters.
He has been assistant superin-
tendent at Winters since 1953 and
succeeds Paul McFadden who has
been transferred to Galveston and
placed in charge of offshore drill-
ing operations in tbst district
Yust, a native of Mansfield, La., Betty, 3.
joined Humble in 1938 and was
employed as a civil engineer. La-
ter he transferred into production
and served as a district petrol-
eum engineer and as a toolpusher
for several years.
A graduate of Texas A&M Col-
lege, Yust has a degree in mech-
anical engineering. He is a veteran
of four years with the infantry dur-
ing World War II, two years of
which were spent in the South
Pacific.
He was married to Jeanette Dur-
ham of Diboll in 1943 at Houston.
Mrs. Yust is a trained nurse and
was employed with Humble at that
time. They have three children,
Charles Jr., 9, Alisa Jeanette, 6,
and Paul F., 2%.
Prior to assignment at Winters,
Yust worked with Humble's Gulf
coast division in Beaumont and
Shackelford

Ackers, wildcat 14 miles west of
Albany in Section 16, Block 13.

shale Thursday.•
A drillstem test was taken at
3,465-3,520 feet.
Tool was open one hour Re-
covery was 350 feet of gas in drill-
pipe. 240 feet of slightly oil and
gas-cut mud. Flowing pressure was
110 pounds, and shut-in pressure
was 145 in 15 minutes.
Earlier, a drillstem test at 1,624-
39 feet recovered 30 feet of slightly
oil-cut mud, and a test at 1,831-43
feet recovered 15 feet of oil-cut
mud.
