Riddle Group Meets
OVALO, July 12 (RNS)-The an-
nual Riddle family reunion was
held in Abilene State Park over the
weekend. Those attending were de-
scendants of the late John Ander-
son Riddle and Mariah Riddle of
Jasper, Ark. Approximately 100
registered for the gathering.
The three sons of the pioneer
couple were the late J. D. Riddle of
Ovalo, who settled here with his
family in 1905; the late C. C. Rid-

moving pictures taken at last
year's reunion. H. V. Riddle of
Ovalo is president of the reunion,
his wife is secretary and Boles Fry
of Tuscola is vice president.
Cason Swindle Family
TUSCOLA, July 12 (RNS)-The
family of Mrs. Artie Swindle and
the late Cason Swindle met at Abi-
lene State Park last week. Mrs.
Swindle is the former Artie Atkins.
She and her late husband are of
pioneer Taylor County families.
All except one of the Swindle
children, with their families, were
present. The children are Dorman,
Wayne. Clifford. Mrs Ralph Lar-
kin, all of Abilene; H. W., Mrs. Bill
Edwards, Bill and Lee, all of Tus-
cola; Loyd of Cisco; Mrs. N. J.
Minatra, who was unable to at-
tend.
Fifty-six members of the family
attended from Cisco, Abilene, Big
Spring, Killeen and Midland.
4 Generations Meet
GOREE, July 12 (RNS)-Ninety-
tea Tuesday at the home of Mrs.
Travis Bouchett.
The couple will be married at St.
John's Methodist Church by the
pastor, the Rev. W. A. Appling.
Miss Hassen to a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. D. Hassen.
Hosts for the party were Mrs.
C. T. Dodson, Mrs Raymond As-
tin. Mrs. J. V. Frizell Jr., Mrs.
Modessa Bell, Mrs. H. J. More-
land Jr., Mrs. F. H. Young and
Mrs. Bouchett.
Mrs. Bouchett received the
guests and presented the honoree,
her mother snd her sister, Nadia
Hassen.
Mrs. James Frizeli presided st
the bride's book where guests sign-
ed with a pink feather quill.
Gifts were displayed on pink-cov-
ered tables. In the houseparty were
Nebeela Hassen of Haskell, Jo
Ann Barney of Abilene and Mar-
cella Gay of Stamford.

Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a white embroider-
ed organdy dress designed with
low round neckline, long torso bod-
ice and full skirt. Her waist-length
nylon veil, sprinkled with rhine-
stones, was held by a band of ny-
lon, trimmed with rhinestone pins.
She wore long mitts of embroider-
•d organdy ending in scallops
over her hands snd carried a bri-
dal bouquet of sweetheart roses and
white satin streamers. Her pearl
necklace and earscrews were gifts
from the bridegroom.
Janis Hightower was maid of
honor.
Marsha Belle Fenner, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. K. L. Fenner Jr.,
was flower girl.
Joe Fondville of Breckenridge
was best man and Leslie Schkade
and Wilford Alton were ushers.

Give Story Hour
BALLINGER, July 12 (RNS) -
Sharon Tuckey will tell the story
and give a chalk talk at the Chil-
dren's Story Hour, Wednesday
morning at 9:30 o’clock at the li-
brary.
The Ballinger Shakespeare Club
is sponsoring the summer story
hour. The stories last 30 minutes
and the children may check out
books from the library from 10 to
10:15 a.m. Mrs. John Miller to
tended the reception at the Amer-
ican Legion Hall. Mrs. Harold
Smith registered guests. Faye Fos-
ter ladled punch and Sylvia Sch-
kade served cake, assisted by Lin-
da Hawley. Georgie Bernstein dis-
pteyed gifts.
The couple will live in Abilene
where Payne is a machine opera-
tor for H. B. Zachry Construction
Co. The bride is a junior in Al-
bany High School where aha was
treasurer of the home economics
class, and treasurer of the band.
She is also a member of the girl’s
trio.

Houston, after a vacation to Col-
orado and New Mexico Mrs. Sam
McIntosh accompanied her son and
family on the trip.
They visited the Garden of Gods,
Wind Cavs, Will Rogers Shrine of
the Sun, Pike's Peak, Denver, Can-
on City and the Royal Gorge. In
New Mexico they visited in Las
Cruces with Mr. and Mrs. John W.
Campbell and family. While in El
Paso, they made a tour of Juarez,
Mexico, returning to Clyde, Satur-
day.

Barbara and Scott, of Robinson-
ville. Miss., are visiting her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Johnson,
chairman of the club project.
