Flows Gray Sand Oil
A west Coleman County wildcat
flowed an estimated 30 barrels of
oil per hour on a drillstem test
taken in the Gray Sand.
The indicated Gray Sand strike
is Ralston Oil Co. of Abilene No.
1 Yemen Bragg in B. F. Adams
Survey 321. It is five miles north-
west of Glen Cove.
The drillstem test in the Gray
was at 3,939 to 3,948 feet. The
tool was open for one hour and
24 minutes.
Gas surfaced in two minutes,
and oil flowed in one hour and 13
minutes. Gravity of the oil was
48. Recovery was 3.500 feet of
free oil, and 60 feet of heavily
oil and gas-cut mud.
Flowing pressure was 465
pounds. Initial shutin pressure in
30 minutes was 1,550 pounds; and
final shutin pressure in 30 min
utes, 1,485 pounds.
Total depth is 3,995 feet in
shale.

slugging a woman.
