men, businessmen, conservationists,
and other Southeast Texas leaders who
support a feasibility study to establish a
Neches River Wild and Scenic River.
Database Manager Mona Halvorsen
Promoted: Duties, hours and position
title changed for Mona Halvorsen who
is now full time. Halvorsen's duties now
include functions of record keeping foraccounting, memberships, technical
support and management of the web-
site. Her new title is Director of Thicket
of Diversity and is a Myxomyceces Citi
zen Scientist.
Halvorsen has a B.S. from Lamar
University and is a certified Technical
Writer. She served as the President of
Kappa Phi Honor Society. She works
closely with Taxa Working Group lead-
ers in the Thicket of Diversity ATBi.
Thanks to the recent grants from TLL
Temple and Brown Foundations, the
outlook for 2012 is promising.5t
