W. M. S. Meets
The Women’s Missionary
Society met with Mrs. Elmo
Noak Friday. Present were:
Rev. and Mrs. A. T. Kluge and
Mesdames Henry Boemer, M.
L. Zwernemann, A. E. Kielers
L. C. Fuchs, W. E. Kuhn, Al-
bert Mueller, and Elmo Noak.
Rev. Kluge opened the meet-
ing with a scripture and prayer.
The questions in the Women’s
Outlook were answered. Mex-
ican Mission work was discuss-
ed. The Bible study was taken
from the Book of Hebrews, on
which Rev. Kluge gave an in-
teresting talk.
The business meeting was
held with Mrs. L. C. Fuchs,
president, in charge.
The next meeting will be
held at the parish house at
night on July 17, in connection
with and ice-ceram social for
members and their families.
After the meeting Mrs. Noak
served lunch.
Firemen Meet
The members of the Car-
mine Fire department held
their regular meeting Thurs-
day evening with about 20
members present.
The main discussion was
about the annual Firemen’s
feast to be held on July 16.
Committees were selected for
the various concessions. A bar-
becued pork sausage supper
will be served. The main at-
traction of the afternoon will
be a "She-Male" baseball
game, which will feature local
firemen in female attire.
