A BOOMING YOUNG CITY.
Not everybody knows that a
booming young city is coming to
the front out forty miles north of
Texarkana on the Texarkana & Ft.
Smith railroad but it is a fact nev-
erthless.
Winthrop is the name of this city
and in view of its tine location at
the soon-to-be terminus of one rail-
road and the principal inland town
on another its fame is not surpris-
ing. The Texarkana & Fort Smith
road will soon be completed to it
and a branch railroad will be built
out to Rocky Comfort. This will
give it two railroads.
Winthrop is located on a beauti-
ful high plateau midway between
the Red and Little rivers with no
city of consequence nearer than
Texarkana and being only six
miles from the Indian Territory
may hope for a big trade trom this
tertile region.
A splendid opportunity is now
afforded investors as well as per-
sons seeking a desirable location for
for a new home. The following
persons have bought lots within
the past few days: ivi. 11. Bales
of Ohio S. B. Andrews M. B. Til
son W. L. Stout A. L. Burk W.
B. Weeks J. W. Gardner J. 11. Big-
ger .1. Bilbrey George McDaniel
J W. Davis J. A. Patching Mary
J. AVright J. 11. Cheatham A. 11.
Willingham .1. E. Smith and G. W.
Dawson.
Now is the time to invest as
choice business lots can be had for
$75 and best resident lots for $25.
Those who wish to buy before the
railroad reaches the town should
call on or address O. H. Pennock
town site agent Benefield Hotel
Texarkana Tex.

Electric Bitters is especially adapt-
