■ Mcßae and Culberson Have Promises
of Its Early Inauguration.
Washington Feb. 14. —Congress-
man Mcßae of Arkansas and Cul-
berson of Texas representing the
two halves of the whole city of Tex
arkana were today in consultation i
with the Postmaster-General in the!
interest of the proposed establish-
ment of a proposed free mail deliv-
ery system in that city. While the
final order has not yet been secured
pending the arrangement ot some
matters of detail. Mr. Mcßae
states that the interview with the
Postmaster-General was most sat-
isfactory and he hopes to secure
the order at an early date.
The above message to the Little
Rock Gazette tells the tale. It will
be seen that our Congressmen Cul-
berson and Mcßae are working for
our city with a will and we will get
the free delvery beyond a doubt.
Whenjit is ordered for our city we
are in favor of giving these two
Congressmen a blow out in the
way of a big celebration.
Beware ot Ointments for Catarrh that
contain Mercury
as mercury will surely destroy the
sense of smell and completely
derange the whole system when
entering it through she mucous
surface. Such articles should never
be used except on prescriptions from
reputable physicians as the damage
they will do is ten fold to the good
you can. possibly derive from them.
Hall’s Catarrh Cure manufactured
by F. J. Cheney & Co. Toledo 0.
contains no mercury and is taken
internally acting directly upon the
blood and mucous surfaces of the
system. In buying Ha'l’s Catarrh
Cure be sure you get the genuine.
It is taken internally and made in
Toledo Ohio by F. J. Cheney &
Co. Testimonials free. Sold by
Druggist price 75c. per bottle.
Hall's Family Pills are the best.
Fittingly Said.
Mrs. Mattie W. Stone wrote a
letter from Washington City to the
Arkansas Democrat in which the
good lady sees fit to defend Sena-
tor Jones against the charge that
he and his family were living in a
style beyond that a senator’s salary
justified. There was Ta covet in-
sinuation in the charge that Sena-
tor Jones had been corrupted by
some lobbyist. Os course it was
very kind of the good lady to defend
the senator but it was unneces-
sary. Senator Jones needs no de-
fense from any such charge. Every
thrust at his integrity and ability
will fall harmless at the senator’s
feet. He is the peer of any man in
the U. S. senate and never has
done anything to cast reproach
upon the grand State he represents.
—Ozark Democrat.
The above fills the bill to a “t.
Who is it but a numskull a hireling
or subsidize chump believes that
Senator Jones is dishonest? Echo
fails to answer.
The two most critical time iu a
woman’s life are the times which
make the girl a woman and the
woman a mother. At these times
Dr. Pierce’s Favorite Prescription is
of incalculable value. It strength-
ens and invigorates the organs dis-
tinctly feminine promotes re-
gularity of the functions allays
irritation and inflammation checks
unnatural exhausting drains atm
puts the whole delicate organism
into perfect condition. Almost all
the ills of womankind are traceable
to some form of what is known as
“temale complaint.” There are not
three cases in a hundred of woman’s

Favorite Prescription will not cure.

we will finish up the work in three
weeks." He continued and said:
"We have one hundred men at work
on the streets today and will finish
sewering and grading in a very
ihort time."
Carter Will Be In It.

district was in the city Monday
and called to see us. He informed
us that he would be a candidate for
prosecuting attorney at the next
election.- [Arkadelphia Siftings-
