MASBENBURG WADE
Last night at the Maple street
Presbyterian church the rites of
marriage were celebrated making
Mr. Walter Massenburg and Miss
Lyla Wade man and wife.
The wedding ceremony was ad
yertised to take place at 7 o'clock
and long before this hour the church
was packed witli friends of the con-
tracting parties.
The decorations about the altar
were beautiful witli the choicest
flowers of the season.
At 7 o’clock the wedding party
reached the church and to a wed-
ding march rendered by Mr. John
Richardson entered the church in
the fidlowing order:
The ushers Messrs Deupree
Hrownlee. Patterson and Moore.
Then came the bride Miss Lyla
Wade followed by her brides maid
Miss Matel Turner and on the
opposite side of the aisle was Mr.
Waller Massenburg and his brother
Hie groomsman
They were formed in a semi cir-
cle about the altar and when the
organist’s realeased the keys under
touch Rev. Daniels of the first
Baptist church stepped forward and
in an impressive manner pronounced
t he I wain man and wife.
The Wedding party then marched
out of the church to a Hue of car-
riages In waiting at the door and
was soon being whirled to the Cot-
ton Belt depot to catch the north
bound train for Memphis and other
points they expect to visit before
they return to settle down for life.
Miss Wade is one ol our most
sweet-faced sunny disposition
young ladies and has made many
I . lends here of both sexes and she
has chosen for her husband a young
man who has no vicious habits but
has been taught and raised strictly
to business. Helsa civil engineer
and has made a business lo re In
tills profession that will sustain him
and his bride In a handsome manner.
To the new made pair we extend
our heartiest good wishes.
