FAIR PARADE.
'The Hummel Hamilton A Sells
circus has come and we have
witnessed the parade and can say
it was a very creditable one for a
managements admission price of
25 cents. We saw in their parade
the same flashy uniformed band in
chairiot in fact this circus has two
bauds and a fine steam caliope and
treated us to good music then
came a heard of pretty shetland
ponies followed by open dens ol lions
and tigers and many closed vans
and costly chariots driven by
lovely women hurdle riders Roman
racers elephantsand camels.
As we go to press the reports
come from the tent that the show
is well worth the admission
prices. We bespeak for them a
large crowd out tonight.

Some funny things happen in this
world and had the Instructions or
request of the city Marshal of
Malvern been carried out here to
day by our city police the ridicu-
lous side of the situation would
have been appreciated by those
whom It did not concern. The re-
porter happened to be present In a
crowd of gentlemen the deputy
city marshal being one of them
when a messenger boy of the Wes-
tern Union telegraph company
came up and handed the deputy a
dispatch. He tore It open ami II
read: "Arrest parly will; new
clothes on wanted here lor rob-
bing store"
W. 11. Wlnlleld was present
and his pants had creases In
them and he moved oil quickly but
Jim Huddleston In a new suit was
caught before he had time Io make
his escape but was let go when he
promised Io prove an alibi and set
up a string of bnlogne sausage.
The maishal had Ids Inn by tack-
ling every one he met of his uc
qiialntance who was dre-. ed up by
reading the message and telling
them to consider themselves under
arrest. Hail the marshal arrested
all the people on the si reels with
new clothes on It being a clicm

w’th their best clothes on the
