Thej- Robbed the De Arrigo
Sale on Maple Street.
CAPTURED AT ASHDOWN.

On Thursday night the store
house of Pete De Arrlgo out on
Maple Steet was forcibly entered
and the safe robbed of money and
contents consisting of a bundle of
deeds fire and life Insurance poll.
cies etc. as stated In this paper

Mr. De Arrlgo when he learned
ot the robbery suaplcloned a cou-
ple of transient men who hung
about his place on Thursday and
who pretended to lie umbrella
menders; and did have an outllt of
old handles and canes bundled to-
gether. .Inst such a bundle as we
see every day in the bands of such
artists.
He informed the city marshal
and constable and they went to
work on the clew he had given
them and found that the men
who were susplcioned had left on
a north bound early local freight.
Telegrams were sent 'ahead and the
men were arrested at Ashdown.
Marshal Edwards constable
Barkman and Pete De Arrlgo left
on the passenger train of Friday
evening after them and brought
them back here that night.
When the men were searched
some thirteen dollars were found
on them It being hidden In then
shoes In the kit of tools done up
In Hie umbrella packs was found a
couple of burglars outllt of drills
and loses for safe blowing
Mr. De Arrlgo Ideal Hied some of
the com It being marked and the
officers are almost certain the men
captured are the ones wanted.
The men give their names ns
Frank I’aralee and Frank Mond.
They have a vicious look about
them and should they prove to be
guilty the arrests will he an Im
portant one as It may lend to the
arrest of other traveling knights
with kits done up In packs to hide
tools used In safe robbing.
