Reflections of a Bachelor.
Least wed soonest mended
It’s a long love that has no chang-
ing.
With most women belief is better
than proof.
The worst enemy of woman's
rights is fluffy underwear.
Next to babies a woman judges
her friends by their underwear
Husbands are necessary only
once a month—when the billscomes
in.
No woman with pretty ankles
can find fault seriously with muddy
sidewalks.
Most people spend their last pen-
ny in the school of experience with-
out learning any thing.
When a bachelor is in danger hit
best life preserver is a frank talk
with her on ideals.
When a woman likes a man her
idea of having l ira ha p. is not
having him be'o :g to some other
woman.
If you think you resemble a great
man say nothing. The resemblance
may cease the moment you open
ycur mouth
Most women have times whet
they enjoy thinking of themselvet
in a coffin white and beautiful
with heart broken mourners arouni
extolling their virtues.—New York
Press.
MANY A LOVER
Has turned with disgust from an other-
wise lovable girl with an offensive breath.
Karl’s Clover Root Tea purifies the breat
by its action on the bowels etc. as noth
log else will. Sold for years on absolut
guarantee. Price 25 cts. and 50 cts. 2
It matters little what may be th«
position of a person in the world
whether high or low rich or poor
the humble partisan or influentia
business man about the heart 01
each there is always tugging some
better impulse. It may be buriei
amil the cares and pursuits of life
stifled by carausal and sinful pleas-
ures stamped on with indignant
scorn by criminal impulses but it
will not die. It will flicker amid
the ashes of buried hopes only to
burst into a bright flame midei
some unexpected impulse. It is
the guardian angel of the soul and
its presence should be recognized
and its counsels heeded.—Shreve-
port Journal.
How to Prevent Pneumonia.
You are perhaps aware that pneu-
monia always results from a cold or
from an attack of la grippe. Dur-
ing the epidemic of la grippe a few
years ago when so many cases re-
sulted in pneumonia it was ob-
served that the attack was never
followed by that diserse when
Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy was
used. It counteracts any tendency
of a cold or la grippe to result in
that dangerous disease. It is the
best remedy in the world tor bad
colds and la grippe. Every bottle
warranted. For sale by Smith Drug
Company.
Those who appreciate good dental
work will do well to call on Dr. Sims
who has been located in Texarkana
about four years guaranteeing all
work yet there has not been four
fillings returned broken down or
fallen out. Office over Palace
