God g.ive uh a gospel that n< s
no .iiiiendiiK ul
When you walk God's way you
may work His works.
It is only tin' coward w ho (inds it
necessary to be cruel.
You cannot bury your sorrowbut
Christ can bear it for yon
Il God judged UH uh bursUly as we
do dur fellows we might well bar
Christ's presence turns the con
mon waters of our lives Into heaven
iy wine.
Competition may be the life ol
business but it is the death of the
church.
To turn a new leaf is not enough;
there must be new life to make the
record
You cannot do Christ's work in
the wor d unless you have His love
for the world.
The safety vaults of your heaven-
ly treasures may be tiie hands of
the needy.
Many a man will slam the door in
the devil’s face and open the win-
dow to let him in.
We say we believe in Christ but
we seem to put our trust in orators
choirs and financiers.

The reporter in his rambles yes-
terday ran upon a nngro base bail
game at the old gun club grounds
and watched one inning of the
ggme. The negroes seem to think
the. game was created for kicking
loud talking and hilarious guffaws.
In the inning we watched there
were many passed balls many
strikes without results. We saw
one big coon get a whack at the
ball and he knocked it over in the
sticks south of the grounds and
ran the diamond in great shape
amid the shouts of the spectators.
If a coon don’t get all the enjoy-
ment out of this life we would like
to aifk who is it that does.

Several gr.ides of rheetiug and dril-

daily product of the mill is 820(1

close corporation this information
cannot be verified. It is a fact
however that the Trenton tail! is
a successful money maker and the
stock is to valuable that there Is
none on the maret. If our neigh-

duct a cotton mill with such suc-

certainly as favorable as any where
in west Tennessee aid we there-
