The Postal Telegraph Cable com-
pany has established a camp near
this city. Mr. A. J. Offenhauser
has secured the contract to furn- I
ish the men with supplies. The
Postal Cable company will put up
the line of wires between Texar-
kana and Shreveport and the work
will be finished as soon as possible.

you are gone just subscribe to the
"Dewey Home Fund” and you will
get a receipt for your money
which will be pretty enough to
frame for the parlor.
The wedding talk has all died
down. Is it possible we are not go-
ing to have some more weddings
about here soon. We have plenty
of material of both s; xes to make
many matches. Then why not get
together young people and fix up to
go through life together?
Mr. Barney Slimer’s new house on
Maple street is one of the prettiest
cottages to be found anywhere and
the finishing touches are now being
put on the same. Barney will be
fixed for enjoying home comforts
when he gets moved into his new

Mr. Eugener'Oden has added an-
other drink to his list of beverages
at the Smith drug store. He calls
the new drink the Funstonia. The
principal body that enters into the
same is ice water. Call for a “Fun-
