The Goldthwaite Junior
4-H Club held it’s first
meeting of the new year on
September 26, 1983. The
meeting was held at the
Mills County Civic Center
beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Thirty-one members, four
leaders, and two extension
agents were present.
The meeting began with
refreshments which were
enjoyed by all. Following
refreshments, new officers
were elected for the coming
year. They are: Sheri Mills,
president; Shylia Miller,
vice-president; Melanie
Head, secretary; Jenny
Long, reporter; Ryan West,
treasurer. Recreation Lead-
ers are David Allen, Teresa
Tiemann and Jeannie Jerni-
gan. Refreshment chairman
is Julia Blackwell; and
Council Delegates are Kyla
Mills and Jenny Long.
Following election of
officers, members selected
programs for the coming
year and then had a
program on Gun Safety.
An invitation is extended
to all youth to attend the
next meeting of the 4-H
Club in your community.
