Day Camp Held At Zion Lutheran, Priddy
L.O.E.M.S. Day Camp Team leads Zion Day Camp participants in Opening Worship
Some 55 young people participated in the Day Camp in June led by a team from the
Lutheran Outdoor and Retreat Ministries of the Southwest. Assisted by volunteers from
the congregation, this Team provided a variety of activities each day. Worship, Bible
study, games, and crafts were included in the daily program. Visits to Hillview Manor
Nursing Home and lunch at Goldthwaite’s City Park highlighted one day. Several groups
visited congregational members in their homes and shared their songs an crafts. Friday
all participated in a Bide Rodeo and water fun activities. Vicki Peters served as local
coordinator for the 1995 Day Camp.

On The Lighter Side
A tourist spending the night
in a small Vermont town joined
a group of men sitting on the
porch of the general store. After
several vain attempts to start a
conversation, he finally asked,
"Is there a law against talking
in this town?"
"Hope, no law agin it," replied
one crusty old Vermonter. "We
just like to make sure it’s an
improvement on silence."
