Llano County was created from Bexar and Gillespie counties. The
county was organized in 1856 and the current courthouse, built in
1892 and still in use, is the last of four courthouses that have been
built, and is of brick and from wonderful deposits of granite nearby.
Designed by A. 0. Watson and Jacob Lamour, this is a National
Register Property.
