of the Year. ” Bobbie well deserved
this honor. She has served the
Goldthwaite Garden Club as
president, as well as many other
offices and committees. Bobbie
has been the leading force for

Goldthwaite’s Christmas Parade
of Lights. She has spent many

house plaza maintaining the

The dedication of a Blue Star

helictites and is not open to the
public because it is so fragile.
"Helictite is a formation that
grows perpendicular to the base.
They'll grow sideways. I know a
helictite that has grown three
feet long. It grows about one inch
in a hundred thousand years."

Star Historical Museum
The Star Historical Museum is
sponsoring a Christmas Tree
Forest and the Star School chil-
dren are decorating the Christ-
mas trees. The classes are al-
lowed to choose the theme for
their trees.

TAKE 2ND PLACE IN
BOOSTER CLUB

The J.V. Lady Eagles had a
busy week last week, traveling to
Coleman on Tuesday night then
playing in the Goldthwaite
Booster Club Classic last week-
end. The Lady Eagles had a tough
time handling Coleman's defen-
sive pressure. The Lady Eagles
trailed the Lady Bluecats by only
6 points at half. But in the end,
Coleman pulled away defeating
the Lady Eagles 41-26. Scoring
for the Lady Eagles were Tiffany
Hayden-13 pts., Tessa Mann-4
pts., Brittany Donnelly-3 pts.,
Crystal Webb, Jenny Bennett and
Heather Parrish-2 pts. each.
In the Booster Club Classic,
the Lady Eagles took second place
in the J.V. division behind Early
J.V. On Thursday, the Lady
Eagles defeated Brownwood's
freshmen 41-26. The game was a
close one, with the Lady Eagles
trailing at the end of the third
quarter 23-21. But the Lady
Eagles hit a scoring streak in the
fourth quarter, outscoring the
Lady Lions 20-3. On Friday, the
Lady Eagles defeated Brooke-
smith 38-22. On Saturday morn-
ing, the Lady Eagles fell to the
Lady Longhorns. The Eagles had
a difficult time scoring in the half
court against Early. They took a
lot of good shots that just wouldn't
fall. The final score was 31-23.
