Lytle Schoel Notes
At a recent meeting of the Lytle
School Board, composed of Messrs,
A. E. Hester, R. E. Filler and
Monroe Secrest, the following teach-
ers have been employed, Principal,
Prof. Johnson of Loredo $100 per
month, immediate department Mice
Ollye Nettles of San Antonio, $55.
per month, Primary Department
Miss Ora Hines of Pleasanton, $55.
per month. All teachers have been
employed for a length of 8 months,
as yet the date for the school has
not been set, but will probably be-
gin the first of September. All three
teachers come highly recommended
from their home towns and it is
hoped that we may have a school

Baptist Revival Ta Begin July 12
The Baptist Revival will begin
July 12. Rev. S. R. Dillon will be
assisted in the revival by Rev. Horn
burg the Missionary Evangelist
Tuesday, July 7th is the day set
aside for the men to work on the
church grounds. This workis badly
needed and in one day much work
can be done by the men and boys.
Letevery man and boy in and
around Lytle whether you are Bap-
tist or not, if you are interested in
doing this work, come and work and
the ladies promise you a fine dinner
in return.
From Benton.
At a recent meeting of the trus-
tees of the Benton Graded school, a
contract was let for repairs on the
school building, aggregating an ex-
penditure of about $400. With
these repairs the building will have
the appearance of a brand new
structure.
Wiley Thompson and family are
spending the week on a fishing ex-
pedition at the Dam. ins ......
Dr. Nicholson is spending the
week at his branch office in Lscoste
Algie Hester and wife of Miss-
issippi are visiting their brother-in-
law, George Foster.
Jack Harbour, Stanley and Oscar
Hughes with others from Lytle are
at the Dam on a fishing excursion
this week.
R. W. Barret of San Antonio visit
ed his sister, Mrs. R. A. Nicholson
this week.
George Foster spent Monday in
San Antonio on business.
