OBITUARIES
Kasper August Fritz
March 5,1924 - Dec. 24, 2005
Kasper August Fritz, age 81, entered into rest on Dec. 24, 2005 in
Boerne. He was born March 5, 1924 in Fredericksburg to the late Ida
Margaret (Meurer) and Karl Fritz.
His son, Stephen Giles Fritz, and daughter, Mary Fritz, preceded him
in death.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Gloria M. O’Con; son,
Kasper Anthony Fritz and wife, Florence; daughters, Barbara A.
Franklin and husband James, Judith K. Alford and husband Gregory,
and Stephanie J. Larzelere and husband Richard; grandchildren Kristine
Davis and husband Shane, Rhonda Murphy and husband Terrence,
Kasper Elmo Fritz and wife Gwen, Chad Fritz, Cole, Kylie, Ty and Bo
Larzelere; step-grandson B. Scott Alford and wife Lisa; great-grand-
children, Sheyenne, Sterling and Stratton Davis, Caroline Murphy; step-
grandchildren, Caroline, Burke and Betty Anne Alford; brother, Leo
Fritz and wife Ruth; sister, Elizabeth Crenwelge; sisters-in-law,
Gertrude Fritz, Norma Fritz; and many other extended family members
and friends.
Kasper was self-employed in San Antonio and had retired to Boerne.
He enjoyed these past years goat and cattle ranching. He cherished
spending time with his family and friends. He was a warm-hearted sto-
ryteller.
Kasper always touched those around him - he never met a stranger. He
always had a smile for everyone he met.
Funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 29, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church
in San Antonio. Interment followed in San Fernando Catholic Cemetery

Laurie Lynn Walker Jordan, age 45, died in Bergheim, on Monday,
Jan. 2, 2006. She was born Dec. 23, 1960 in Pleasanton. She is sur-
vived by her mother, Sarnie Leath Walker of Bergheim; son Jared Alan
Gerlach of San Diego, Calif.;
daughters Shelby Lynn Jordan and
Emily Elizabeth
Jordan of Bergheim; sisters
Leslie Leath and Dan Kinsel, III
of Cotulla and Lou Ann and Shane
Glosson of New Braunfels; and
brother James Lewis Walker of
Bandera.
Funeral Services will be held at
10 a.m. today, Friday, Jan. 6, at the
First Baptist Church in Boerne
with interment following in the

Aura Lou Campbell McCoy
Aug. 28, 1919 - Jan. 3, 2006
Aura Lou Campbell McCoy, 86, of Boerne, a former resident of
Banquete and Corpus Christi, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, in
Boerne. Aura Lou was born Aug. 28, 1919, in Cedar Grove, La., to
Oscar M. and Mary E. Campbell.
She moved with her family to South Texas as a teenager, where she
later married Eugene McCoy on June 10, 1940. She was a dedicated
wife and mother who truly put her family first in her life. She loved
gardening and all things green and growing, the fruits of which she
liked to share with others. She also had a compassionate heart toward
stray cats and dogs, many of which she took in.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Jim and Irene
McCoy of Boerne; her daughter and son-in-law Carroll and Tom
Brown and her son and daughter-in-law Dale and Diane McCoy, all of
Arlington; her sisters, Mattie Childers of Corpus Christ, Doris Kohler
of Alfred and Joyce Boggess of Telford, Tenn.; grandchildren, Torin,
Evan and Austin McCoy, Tracy Novak, Kevin Brown, Ross, Rebecca,
Amanda and Jeremy McCoy; five great-grandchildren; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, in
Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Robstown
Memorial Park.

Youth Choir
signing up new
members
The Texas Hill Country Youth
Choir will accept new members
in January 2006. It is a communi-
ty choir program that grew out of
the Fredericksburg Children’s
Chorale tradition for the children
and youth of the Texas Hill Coun-
try who want to experience
singing enrichment in their lives.
The mission of the program is to
bring young singers together for a
short time each week to make
beautiful music in rehearsal and
performance. It also gives them
the opportunity to tour and travel.
There are two choirs: the Train-
ing Choir for grades 2 through 4
and the Hill Country Youth Choir
for grades 5 through 12.
Rehearsals are on Tuesday in
the Fredericksburg Middle
School choir room and Thursdays
in the choir room at First Presby-
terian Church in Fredericksburg.
Laurie Jenschke is the director for
both choirs.
