Notes

Text: “Monday afternoon. My Very Own — Am so sorry I didn’t get a letter off yesterday, so I guess it serves me right not to get one from you today. But I studied all day for this histology we are to have tomorrow, and will spend the rest of today and tonight doing the same. Was again today reminded of the fact that cutting that class Saturday will mean a double cut and thereby overcoat me, since it meets only once a week, and thereby bar me from the examination . But I’m risking all. I’m Austin bound regardless! No really, I can get mother to give me some sort of feeble excuse, and the girl in the office said she’d make it all right. Had night letter from Dad today, congratulating me on my average and wishing me a speedy recovery; he’s in Washington right now. It’s going to take some pretty consistent work for me to catch up on what I’ve missed, but I think I can do that — looking forward all the wile to Friday! and you. Yes, I hope, too, the weather is better than it has been. Sweetheart, this is just a note, will get time to write one tomorrow. I love you, love you, every minute of the day. You’re only ? Felix. Friday morning! Excuse this terribly […] of stationery, please. I love you again. F.R.B.”
