A Hero In a Lighthouse.
For years J. 8. Donahue, So. Ha-
ven. Mich., a civil war captain, as a
lighthouse - keeper, averted awful
wrecks, but a queer fact is, he might
have been a wreck, himself, if M’lec-
trie Bitters had not prevented.
"They cured me of Kidney trouble

Mr. B. A. Bohannan and Miss Emma
Simmons were married at eight o’clock
Tuesday evening at the home of the
bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George
Simmons, Rev. J. P. Boone officiating.
While the many friends of the contract-
lug parties have been expecting the
event to take place, the wedding -came
as a surprise, the date being set only
a few days before the wedding, conse
quently only a few of the most Inti
mate friends were present.
The groom is a young man of the
highest integrity and lias many steri-
Ing qualities which make him popular
with all who know him.
The bride was raised in this city and
is a graduate of the high school here.
She is a charming young lady, well
