to the public.
On Saturday, the Art Show & Sale
in Ye Kendall Halle will be open
from 10 am - 6 pm, with live music
in the courtyard. Beginning at 6 pm
there will be live music, food and
drink on Main Plaza. On Sunday,

“This is our primary fundraising
event for the year and we hope
everyone will come out and have a
great time standing up for the arts in
Boerne,” says CAC President, Tami
Kegley.
“It is our goal to be an umbrella
organization supporting all of the
arts in our community, but we can’t
do it without your help. Come on
out, eat, drink, and be merry, but
most of all, BUY ART!”
The festival begins Friday,
October 14 with a gala wine dinner
and art auction featuring the latest
work from favorite artists. Classical
guitarist Jonah Evans will be on
hand to entertain those in atten-
dance. Proceeds from the auction
will benefit community arts projects
sponsored by the Cibolo Arts
Council.
The gala begins at 6 p.m. with a
preview cocktail hour. The dinner
and auction begins at 7:15 p.m. You
may call (210) 507-5053 to make
reservations.
On Saturday, October 15, the
Invitational Art Show will begin at
10:00 a.m. The show is open to the
public and admission is free. This
portion of the Boerne Festival of Art
& Music began as the Texas Hill
Country Invitational Art Show and
Sale at the Tapatio Springs Resort in
2003.
This art show focuses on creating
a gallery environment that high-
lights the newest works by select
artists of the Boerne Area Artists
Association.
An important part of this event is
the invitational aspect, which brings
in guest artists from near and far.
This gives local art patrons an
opportunity to experience fine art-
work not regularly seen in the com-
munity.
On Saturday evening, the Music
segment of the festival begins with a
free concert on Town Square across
from Ye Kendall Inn. Featured
artists include Chris Wall, The Ben
Beckendorf Band, Flounders
Without Eyes, The Sidehill Gougers,
and Bepko, Santos & Rose. The
music fest runs from 6:00 p.m. to
11:00 p.m.
On Sunday, October 16, a jazz
brunch will take place at Ye Kendall
Inn from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The
music of Small World will be fea-
tured. Reservations for the brunch
can be made by calling (800) 364-
2138.
The mission of the Cibolo Arts
Council is to develop and sustain an
environment that supports and pro-
motes awareness, appreciation, edu-
cation and access to the visual and
performing arts in the Kendall
County area. The organization is a
resource to all art educators, artists,
galleries, theater groups, musicians,
creative writers, photographers and
also to community arts clubs and
organizations.
