THE BIBLE
Solid Ground
Can You Believe In
Evolution And The
Bible Account
Of Creation?
(Editor’s Note: During the next
5 or 6 issues, "Solid Ground"
will delve into the subject of
evolution and see how it stacks
up against the Bible account of
creation.)
* * * * *
Let’s pretend for a minute
that we’re listening to a con-
versation between two people
concerning religion and the
Bible:
Question: “So you say you’re
a Christian, huh?’’ Answer:
“I sure am, and I go to church
to prove it.”
Question: “But surely you
don’t believe all those myths
and fairy tales in the Bible?”
Answer: “Yes sireee, I’m a
Bible Christian and I believe
every word of it.”
Question: "‘Don’t tell me you
believe in that story about Adam
and Eve in this day and age.
Besides, haven’t you ever heard
of evolution?” Answer: “Sure
I have, but maybe God used
evolution as a way to create life,
and Adam and Eve were just
some of the first humans.”
Question: “But what about
the flood ? You don’t think there
could have been a boat big
enough to carry all animal life
and Noah’s family while the
rest of humanity was wiped
out?” Answer: “Well, I’m not
so sure about that story in
the Bible. Maybe it was just
a parable — I don’t know.”
Question: "Well, If you can’t
believe these two major oc-
currances in the Bible, how can
you believe the rest?” Answer:
“Well, I just have faith!!!”
How many times have you
been backed into a corner by
athiests and evolutionists by
such questions.
Possibly you have even doubt-
ed these two Bible accounts
yourself and wondered if they
might have happened a different
