those profound statements were
made at the United Nations
nearly 1 1/2 years ago.
Although the world appears
to be further away from world
peace than it did 26 years ago
when the United Nations was
founded, practically all world
leaders agree on one major
point: There is only one way
to achieve world peace, and
that is through one-world gov-
ernment. .
The only trouble is that there
could never be a super-world
government to which all nations
subject themselves. For the
Russians, it would have to be
a Russian-Communist - type
government.
5 But the free nations of the
world would want a democra-
tic-type government W hile
China would want their own
brand of Communist-ruled gov-
ernment.
Yes, EVERY nation desires
world peace -- but only with
their particular nation RULING
all others. Even Hitler wanted
eventually world peace, but

Out of all of God’s creatures,
ONLY MAN can choose to serve
and love his fellowmen. But he
can also choose to hate other
people, especially those of other
nations and races.
Down through the pages of
history, man has constantly
chosen to try to secure his
OWN RIGHTS, while disregard-
ing the rights of his neighbors.
Even among so-called Chris-
tian religions who profess to ,
practice love for mankind, peo- 1
ple often PERSECUTE and harm
people of other religions who
don’t agree with their particu-
lar belief or philosophy. Instead
of practicing love, they show
only hate. Nr v
It then appears that the ONLY
WAY to achieve the world peace
which every country so earnest-
ly desires is through GOVERN-
MENT — world government
which would enforce peace be-
tween individuals, at least on
a broad basis.
Yet just as individual men
can’t control or resist the down-
ward pull of his own human
nature, so these same nations
can’t control their own national
selfishness, leading eventually

The Bible, God’s Word, has
the ONLY SOLUTION to all
of man’s problems, including
the May Eternal God above who
knows the nature of man has
continued to correctly predict
man’s mounting problems;
“The WAY OF PEACE they
know not, and there is no justice
in their paths,” says Isaiah
59:8 “they have made then
road’s crooked, no one,who goes
in them knows peace.
No, mankind just doesn tknow
the way to lasting peace, which
comes ONLY through faith in
God and obedience to His good
and righteous laws and com-
mandments, summed up in love
for God and for mankind.
There is a prophesy yet tor
the future. After you read it
ask yourself whether the 1 nited
Nations or any other union of
nations can bring about man-
made peace on this earth:
••He shall judge between the
nations, and shall decide tor
many peoples; and they shall
beat’ their swords into plow-
shares, and their spears into
pruning hooks; nation shall not
life up sword against nation,
neither shall they learn war
anymore (Isaiah 2:4).
