I DO
ATTEND DRAWING - Over 400
people crowded together on the
north sidewalk in front of the
Giddings Chamber of Commerce
office and on down nearly half the
block last Wednesday. Dec. 6 for the
first drawing in Giddings Christmas
Appreciation Days. The tempera-
ture was a very cold 32 degrees with
a wind chill factor much lower due to
a strong norther which was blowing
at the time. However, there was a
good crowd on hand as more than
$500.00 in prizes and gift certificates
were given away. Jack Placke
servedasemcee and was assisted on
the trailer by Lee Prihoda. Santa
Claus drew from a barrel containing
more than 30,000 na mes, which were
those people who had signed up with
participating merchants.
