School lunch menu
The Lewisville Independent School District
serves nutritious meals every school day. Lunches
are $1.10 in elementary grades and $1.25 in secon-
dary grades.
This week's elementary school lunch schedule is:
■Wednesday. Oct. 25: Little smokies sausage,
macaroni and cheese, green beans, calico fruit
salad, cornbread muffins and milk.
■Thursday, Oct. 26: Italian spaghetti, tossed green
salad, breaded fried okra, Texas toast and milk.
■Friday, Oct. 27: Turkey crossiant, lettuce, tomato
and pickles, broccoli cheese soup, gelatin with fruit,
snickerdoodle cookie and milk.
■Monday, Oct 30: Corny dog, tater tots, creamy
coleslaw, trail mix and milk.
■Tuesday, Oct 31: Witches stew, skeleton sand-
wich, spider salad, ghost milk and spooky ice cream
bar.
Adopt-a-Pet
The Colony Humane Society has the following
pets for adoption:
“Buttons” and “Muffin,” a female Siamese and a
female calico, both spade, shots, 370-9408.
“B.J.,” Cocker, male purebred, black and tan,
young adult. 370-5231.
“Jody Rabbit,” female mynx cat (short tail), 1
year, 292-3477.
“Camille,” female kitten, 6 months, white with
blue eyes, 370-2923.
“Chocie,” male chihuahua/schnauzer mix, 1 year,
chocolate/wire hair, 370-5473.
“Tesch” and “Smokey Joe,” two male Siameese
cats, neutered, 370-7070.
The Colony Animal Shelter also has a nice selec-
tion of pets for adoption. Visit the open house from 2
to 4 p.m., Sunday or call 370-1756 or 370-5545 for
an appointment to see the other animals.

The Colony Chapter of Services Program for
Aging Needs (SPAN), meets daily at The Colony
Civic Center, 5576 North Colony. Lunch is served
at 12 p.m., Monday through Friday. Reservations
for lunch should be made at least one day in advance.
For reservations call 370-9410.
This week’s lunch schedule is:
■Wednesday, Oct. 25: Barbeque chicken, coleslaw,
creamed spinach, dinner roll and butter, lemon
coconut cake and milk.
■Thursday, Oct. 26: Swedish meatballs, rice, broc-
coli, orange-pineapple juice, wheat bread, butters-
cotch pudding and milk.
■Friday, Oct. 27: SloppyJoe, cottage cheese, coun-
try vegetables, tossed salad with dressing, hambur-
ger bun, fresh fruit and milk.
■Monday, Oct. 30: Chicken fillet, ham and bean
soup, broccoli, hamburger bun, peacher and milk.
■Tuesday, Oct. 31: Corned beef with cabbage and
vegetables, O’Brien potatoes, dinner roll with but-
ter, cinnamon roll and milk.
