on their way to an 11-1 victory
Tuesday night after racking up
13 hits.
Natalie Brademan got things
started with a three-run homer in
the first and also finished with a
single. She collected four RBI in
the game and scored once.
Leslie Valadez added a sin-
gle, scored twice and stole three
bases, Lacey High-Burgess was
3 for 4 with two singles and a
double and she also scored three
times, stole two bases and drove
in two runs.
Alex Yarbrough finished with
a single and a walk, stole a base,

runs, Katy Kazen hit a double,
was walked and she picked up
two RBI, Katie Smith hit a sin-
gle, stole a base and scored a run,
while Lacey Palla finished with

“We played very well defen-
sively tonight, highlighting some
of the top defensive plays were
several balls Alex (Yarbrough)
caught up the middle and threw
to a stretched out Lacey (High-
Burgess) at first for outs. Katy
(Kazen) came back after the
Heights game and pitched very
well,” Boerne coach Krystal
Clare said. “Offensively, the girls
did a great job, as well. Natalie
(Brademan) had her second home
run of the season and Lacey
(High-Burgess) is continuing to
perform well at the plate also.

team competed at the Texas Ten-

Under state team tournament in
Round Rock and finished 14th.
This was the 5th year in a row
for the Comfort team to compete
in the tournament. In last year’s
state event the squad finished
in 11th place and was looking
to improve on that performance
since they were returning many of
last "year’s players.
The Comfort tennis team had
the misfortune of drawing a first-
round match against defending
champion Mason. The match was
played on Saturday after a one-
day delay because of the rain.
Play began with two boys dou-
bles, two girls doubles, one mixed
doubles and two of each boys and
girls singles matches.
In this format anyone playing
doubles couldn’t play singles and
because of this, teams with strong
top 4 players benefited the most.
