Family Services fashion show
orchestrated by lifetime performer

During a Wednesday luncheon at the Boerne "

Family Services fashion show, its principal i
yearly fundraiser, is a sold-out event that will I
seat a capacity crowd of 300.
One thing that may not be at the forefront of
tomorrow’s event is the face behind the fashion
show — Ann Young is a theater professional
who’s been involved in some aspect of perfor- 1
mance for more than five decades. Young may -
not be on the stage herself but her enthusiasm -
most assuredly will be. After all, Young’s been
performing since she was a toddler, which is 1
when she became a student of her great-aunt, "
who in tandem with Patsy Swayze “were two |
of the biggest dance teachers in Houston.”
“My great-aunt was an entertainer,” Young g
said, “and when I was 3 I was forced to take |

An article Friday regarding reports received by the board of trustees
of the Boerne Independent School District incorrectly stated that the
board had deleted a requirement for graduation. The board retained all
existing credit requirements, including those previously established by
the state plus BISD’s own local requirements that are above and beyond
what the state requires.
