S. A. BENHAM
When the Brady Jubilee ticket
agents start out each summer to
sell ducats to the different forms
of entertainment they can always
count on “Pa” Benham being right
there with the “goods”, Mr. Ben-
ham is always on hand for the
Queen's coronation and hasn’t miss-
ed the Jubilee races and rodeo in
the past thirteen years, and that
is the age of the Brady’s big an-
nual party. And if nothing hap-
pens he will be there this time |
greeting his friends and watching
the horses go.
Mr. Benham always comes in on
the guarantee list, donates liber-
| ally to the parade, and has the
fourth of July decorations flying
from his store several days before
the show opens.
Mr. Benham is numbered among
the few pioneer merchants of Bra-
dy. He has operated a store in
Brady for the past fifty-years and
is still going as strong as ever. It
has always been a strict policy of j
the store to keep abreast of the;
times and right now he is rated;
as one of the outstanding ladies’
ready-to-wear merchants in Tex-
as and has a store that will com-
' pare with those in towns many
times the size of Brady. Mr. Ben-
ham has a bigger and better store
than ever and he is looking young-
er every day.
The Benham store has the Jubi-
less spirit 100% these days and a
big dress sale is under way this
week.
