Yes, one woman was forced to this, as a

Rain Has Been Passing Up Area:
Family Reunions Are Enjoyed
Placid, Texas, Aug. 15. — So far
as rain is concerned. Placid is still
forsaken. I don't know what we've
done or haven't done if anything,
but I do know we have missed the
blessing of rain that so many of
lour neighbor communities have
en joyed. A light shower Monday
afternoon is some encouragement,
I however Maybe in due time we
too will have moisture.
J. R Gault and son, Alton, and
daughter Mrs. Celia Shafer off
i Midland, came in last week for a
visit with relatives here and to
attend the reunion of the Alex-
ander family at Richards Park Fri-
day and Saturday.
On last Sunday the Baptists had
Sunday school without a Gault
present. Yes, that really is news.
It has seldom happened in the
vears of this church. We are going
to be nice about it and excuse them
freely since the occasion that pre-
vented their being there was a
family reunion at Richards Park
when the Gault brothers were all
present. Mr. J. R. (Ranev) Gault
was here visiting his brothers,
Charlie, Oscar and Nat, for the
first time in eight years. He lives
with his son Alton and daughter,
Mrs. Shafer in Midland. They re-

No moving parts in its freezing system-
.hat's the reason behind a record like this. But
there are Servel Electrolux refrigerators—plenty
of them—in West Texas 10 to 12 years old. Still
making ice cubes, keeping the baby's milk safe,
saving leftovers, just as efficiently as the first
month. And at the same cost. And remember,
Servel Electrolux is the only automatic refrigera-
tor with no moving parts to wear, to get noisy,
to lose efficiency, and to run up repair and serve
ice bills.
James E. Brewer, jeweler of Ballinger,
Texas, has had a Servel Electrolux in the kitchen
of his home for more than
ten years, and he says, “We
never spent one cent for
service or repairs. It gives
as good service as the day
we installed it.”

we wasted before we bought a Servel Electrolux,
