Mason and Menard have begun a
community wide interdenomina-
tional Christian fellowship for youth
andthen families called "Hill Kountry
K-l ife"
Aboardof 22 individuals and clef-
gy members from thethreecountyarca
havebegunoramizational andlogrsti-
cal efforts to start the program
"A lot of people don’t even know
what K I ife is all about," said board
member Kellene Shuftield "It is a
group formed to teach kids to follow
( Christ and have lots of fun in the pro-
cess It K-l ife) works with churches
and families thecommunity toteach
and encourage kids to be strong in
Christ in spite of all of the negative
pressures they face every day "
The group is comprised of inter-
ested parents, adults and churches
interested in prov ding numerous fun
activ ties at times w hen no ( Christian
youth groups are meeting
K-Life began as a follow up
ministry to Kanakuk Kamps which
are ( Christian summer camps located

to provide opportunities for Christian
principles to be reinforced throughout

with any church in the area," said board
