Receipts of livestock at Fort
Worth Friday were estimated at
1100 cattle, 500 calves, 700 hogs
including 60 directs, and 6000
sheep, these figures being about
the same as a week earlier. Total
receipts at 11 markets showed a
slight increase over a week ago
and decreases in other classes.
Cattle and calves sold actively at strong
prices and hogs ruled—fully steady with
Thursday’s average, topping at $8.65.
Spring lambs held about steady, but other
classes of sheep and lambs sold sharply
loweragain ,
Slaughter steers and yearlings were in
broad demand and a fairly early clear-
ancs” was effected at .strong prices. A
load of good to choice fed yearlings topped
the market at $8.00 and most lots of med-
ium and good shortfed steers and year-
lings turned at $6.25.7.50. One load of
South Texas grass steers sold at $5.50 and
two loads brought 86.15, the latter offer:
ings going on replacemtn’ account. All
grades and weights of steers and yearlings
carried upturns of 15-25c: compared with
eraly this week, placing them fully steady
with the close of last week. e

Intervention to Upset Coup
Is Possible
VIENNA, May 15.—Heimwehr
leaders hope Premier Benito Mus-
solini will act to save Prince
Ernst Von Starhemberg, ousted
from the unofficial Austrian die-
tatorship by a political coup, it
was learned today.
An intervention byMussolini
would be a counter-move to
French-British representations,
based on a telegram in which
Starhemberg congratulated Mus-
solini on the conquest of Ethiopia.
The United Press learned the
British-French representations
precipitated the downfall of Star-
hemberg, after long differences
between him and the Schuschnigg-
Josef Reither element, now in
power, in politics.
Members of the Heimwehr,
Starhemberg’s private army, be-
lieve that after the prince sees
Mussolini, Il Duce may protest the
representation on the ground that
they constitute an Interference
with Austria’s internal affairs.
