Mrs. Frank Kriska Sr., 76,
died at 11:20 Thursday night in
Municipal Hospital.
Mrs. Kriska was born Mar.
21, 1893, in Czechoslovakia. She
moved to Ennis in 1901 and had
lived near here since that time.
Her home address was Rt.
3, Ennis.
She was a member of St. John
Catholic Church, the KJZT So-
ciety, the Altar Society and the
Rosary Society.
Surviving are three sons,
Stanley and Frank R. Kriska,
Ennis, and Ted Kriska, Dallas;
— 4 daughters, Miss Mary Kriska,
Ennis; Mrs. John Hadash, Rt.
3, Ennis; Mrs. J. L. Wingo, En-
nis; Mrs. R. G. Vrba, Mesquite;
12 grandchildren, 6 great-grand-
children, a sister, Mrs. John
Kriska, Ennis; a brother, Ignatz
Slovak, Ennis.
Rosary will be recited tonight
at Bunch Funeral Chapel at 8
p.m. Requiem Mass will be at
10 a.m. Saturday at St. John
Catholic Church, with interment
following in St. Joseph’s Ceme-

To Be Given Mon.
The Texas Highway Depart-
ment has announced anew
highway construction project
which will consist of asphaltic
concrete pavement and seal coat
on shoulders on SH 342 and US
77 extending from the Dallas
'County line to Waxahachie and
on US 287 between Reagor
Springs and the west city limits
of Ennis.
The program also includes the
placing of asphaltic concrete
pavement on sections of both
US 287 and FM 1722 in the City
of Ennis and the placing of as-
phalt stabilized base on FM 8113
from Waxahachie to Palmer and
on FR 879 and from FM 878 to
Boyce.
The Texas Highway Depart-
ment and the contractors—Aus-
tin - Worth Construction Com-
pany and Austin Road Company
and Worth Construction Com-
pany of Dallas, stated that it is
expected that construction will
begin by August 14, 1969—and
will be completed by November
1, 1969.
Traffic will be routed through
construction, but motorists may
expect considerable inconven-
ience due to the need for closing
one lane in the construction
area. As a result motorists are
urged to drive with extreme
caution as heavy construction
equipment will be in operation
throughout the limits of t h e
project.
