MIDNIGHT FIRE DESTROYS
CLARENDON ELEVATOR
Special to The News.
CLARENDON, Tex., Jan 14.-
Fire which broke out about midnight
destroyed the elevator with a large
amount of grain, a livery stable and
other improvements. The fire
brought down the telegraph and
telephone lines, severing connection
with northern points for several
hours. --* *
At 4:30, the fire was practically
under control.
