Continuing with the study of
Ephesians, the Women of the
Presbyterian church, meeting
in circles Monday, discussed
the first chapter, Verses 15-23,
on Christ as the head of the
Church, 7/7
■ The moderators brought out,
that Ephesians is not primarily
a study of what we should do
for God, but of what God has
already done for us through Je-
sus Christ. That is why we find
| two of Paul's most fervent
I prayers in the first three chap-
ters of Ephesians, the modera-
1 tors pointed out.
The prayer begins in verse
17, where the theme is wisdom,
and the specific kind of wisdom
We need was brought out as
given by Paul. The three peti-
tions in Ephesians were point-
ed out— Paul’s hope of his
calling, the riches of his (and
our) inheritance,' and the great-
ness of the power available to
Christians.
The emphasis for the month
was on the Joy Gift for retired
ministers, and some circles
brought out the “Go — That
They May Know" emphasis. :
