I CURE FITS!
When I say cure I do not mean merely to stop them
for a time and then hare them return again. I mean a
radical cure. I have made the disease of FITS EPI-
LEPSY or FALLING SICKNESS a life-long study. I
warrant my remedy to cure the worst cases. Because
others have failed is no reason for not now receiving a
cure. Send at once for a treatise and a Free Bottle of
my infallible remedy. Give Express and Poet Office

An <llll Superstition Kxploded.
The New York Commercial Advertiser.
“One thing that I cannot under-
stand” said a well known adver-
tising agent yesterday” is that vague
though venerable superstition
among a certain class of abvertisero
which leads them to believe that
their published pictures if endowed
with luxuriant whiskers will euspire
unlimited public confidence in the
article which they are placing upon
the market. This is not particular-
ly noticeable in the city press but a
glance through the columns of the
average truly rural journal will prove
the truth of my observation. The
“Professor” or “Doctor wno is the
patentee of some all curing pill or
brand ot bitters is invariable repre-
sented in the advertising cut as a
middle-aged man. tropically pro-
fuse sideboards or forest of beard.
The object of this hirsute decora-
tion is probable 10 give a patriachal
and erudite appearance to the posses-
sor thereof; but he general y succeeds
in reßenibling nothing so much as
the original wild man ot Borneo. In
looking through twenty country pa-
pers I only encountered two adver-
tisors who had the courage to be
stereotyped with clean shaven coun-
tenances. Ooe manufactured an
everlasting shoe and the other an
unbreakable hay rake. Another odd
fact is that the majority of tho people
whose advertising cuts credit them
with lavish chin pieces really haven’t
hair on tht ir faces.

The great cloak sacrifice announced
for this week until Christmas Eve
will cause a greater rush for cloaks
than if a Dakota blizzard was to strike
our people.

mendous tumble for new first-class

That L. Wolfson is selling more
