The facts in the case saddle the
responsiblity for the present condi-
tion of the country upon the pres-
ent party in power. From the hour
that they declared war upon the
industries of the country incorpo-
rating that declaration in their
national platform the industries
have been handicapped.
There is not a single cross walk
upon South Alamo street from
Commerce street to Mission gar-
den and in wet weather that
street is a sea of mud. This is an
imposition upon the taxpayers of
that section.
The San Angelo kick wins and
the Gulf Colorado and Santa Fe no
longer keep trains over at Brown-
wood with passengers for San An-
gelo in order to build up Brown-
wood at the expense of San Angelo.
Those hot sulphur waters just
below San Antonio are destined to
be as u nowned as the famous
White Sulphur springs of Virginia.
The nation will come hither for
healing in due course of time.
France is not big enough to
buck successfully against the Hrei-
bund. She feels her oats but;
she should remember the former j
days in which she rushed reckless-
ly upon the German spears.
Can any one tell why it is that j
the residents of the Eighth ward!
of this city are accorded none of
