THE BREEDING CASE.
Young “Doc” Breeding Leave
For St. Louin for Trial.
Yesterday afternoon the case
against Dr. J. B. Breeding for
fraudulently using the United
States mails was dismissed by U.
S. Commissioner Price on applica-
tion of defendant’s lawyers and
the government waived its right
to the custody of the prisoner. De-
tective Sam Allender and Stenog-
rapher Appleman the latter being
brought here for purposes of iden-
tification and as the main witness
for th e state of Missouri left last
evening with the prisoner for St.
Louis. The defendant was accom-
panied by his wife and child and
her mother Mrs. M. Morris.
The accused had nothing to ’say
for publication before his depart-
ure beyond what he already has
said that it is all a case of mis-
taken identity which he will be
able easily to clear up and regain
his libertv.
If he is released and the charges
dismissed there is no doubt the
Wells-Fargo Express company will
be sued for heavy damages and
there will also be suits for lib» 1
against several big St. Louis pi»
pers most of which have seeming-
ly convicted him of the offense
charged before he is even tried.
Married His Creditor.
Old City Derrick.
One of the wealthiest farmers in
the village of Pine Plains Duch-
ess county is William H. Tanner.
He owns and tills a farm of 400
acres and for twelve years past
has had in his service Mary Ann
Miller an elderly woman who
wat known as his housekeeper
Mrs. Miller’s maiden name was
Mary Ann McDonald. She was
married a number of years ago to
a man named Miller but as it af-
terward turned out he had a wife
living she discarded him but kept
her new name. Tanner found her
useful in' his householdbut he
had such a chronic aversion to
spending money that the matter of
wages was never discussed between
them and twelve long years
elapsed before Mrs. Miller broach-
ed the subject. Tanner wouldn’t
listen to it and Lawyer Brown of
Poughkeepsie advised Mrs. Miller
to bring an action for $lOOO for
an attachment on Tanner’s prop-
erty which she did. This had the
effect of bringing Tanner to Pough-
keepsie yesterday nearly scared to
death at the prospect of losing $l-
000 all at one slap. He sought Re-
corder Moeschauser and asked him
what he would do under the cir-
cumstancds.
“I’d marry her” said the re-
corder.
“I’ll do it by gosh !” replied Tan-
ner.
The ceremony was performed in
the Recorder’s court room and
although it did not follow the
book strictly it is binding enough
to keep Mary Ann from want the
rest of her life. When the Recorder
asked the groom if he would take
Mary for his lawful wife and sup-
port her all her days the bride
supplemented the groom’s answer
by saying that if he didn’t she
would run right out of the house
and leave him. The newly wedded
couple rode back home behind an
old bay horse and ate their supper
of boiled Indian meal and milk in
the old farmhouse in which Mary
Ann has now an interest.

Toronto’s Celebration.
Toronto May 24.—A big mili-
tary celebration has been arranged
for today in honor of the Queen’s
birthday.
An Excellent Radish.
An early crisp and pleasant
flavored radish is something to be
appreciated upon the table most
anytime of the year. We have
been testing a large number of va-
rieties for several years with the
hope of findingone suitable for out-
door culture and at the same time
be of high table quality. We have
had in our test about all the Ameri-
can varieties and many others
from England and France which
were imported direct. The radish
that has come nearest to perfection
in my opinion of all the varieties
that I have tested is the Rose
Colored China. This radish Is
often sold as a winter radish and
I have grown it here to perfection
in December but it is a medium
early radish when grown in early
spring or summer. It is of good
size oblong slightly conical light
carmine color. It remains edible
a long time without becoming
pithy or strong and does not run
to seed early.
An Exceptionally Rare Bargain.
\ We are offering for a few days only a
good seven room house with corner lot
on 4 venue B. at the remarkably low fig-
ure of <2.500. Call quick and see.

ELECTROPOISE
(TRADE MARK.)
—I feel it my grateful duty to testify to all
sufferers particularly weakly worn down
females ol the great benents I have derived
from the faithful use of the FJeetropoise. I
have been raised from such a depth of suffer-
ing and misery that those who knew my con-
dition a few months since consider me a
walking wonder. 1 had suffered for several
years from a distressing affliction peculiar to
my sex. and for a whole year past my entire
system had been involved. Constipation
most obstinate indigestion fearful periodical
headaches and worst of all sleeplessness and
nervousness which no remed es would re-
lieve. I had the best of medical attention and
just lived on tomes and medicines but found
little even temporary relief. 1 could not
walk to my nearest neighbor’s for three
months and suffered almost agony when on
my feet. So much for my condition when in
April last I began using the Electropoise. In
one week I could seep soundly all night
with no nervous attacks and am entirely re
lieved of my distressing female trouble con
stipation and headaches appetite and dises
tion good and I have walked two miles with-
out inconvenience: my sleep is sound and re-
freshing. and my complexion Is good. 1 have
used the Electropohe with great success in
my family; have cured croup bronchitis
cramp and inflammaiion of kidneys with
wh'ch my family have suffered. Several
otl e s here are using the wonderful little In-
stiunent with like success I only recom-
rm n I it to others for what it has done to me
and mine. Suffering worn out wives and
mothers are to be found everywhere and I
earnestly beg such to try Electropoise the
woman’s friend. Where can you find one
suffering from female complaints who has
been cured and her health built up by in-
struments and medicines ? Yet many can be
found wno are well and strong from a few
months' use of Electropoise without medi-
cine. 1 feel that under a kind providence I
owe mv life and health to he 'Poise and I
bid adieu to pedicine and 1 have my doctor
and medicine always at home in the never
failing Electropoise. It is cheap at any price
for it cures where other remedies fail.
