The program for the celebration of In-
dependence Day of Mexico next Satur-
day Sunday and Monday at San Pedro
park has been received by the Light.
The program says the Junta Patrlotlca
Mexicana. (Patriotic Mexican committee)
composed of the Mutualista society
Nacional and Central clubs Reyes socie-
ty and clubs of the Calaveras aud Mis-
sions will celebrate the 84th anniversary
of the Independence at San Pedro
springs. The following is Uie program:
Sept. 15.—The procession will assemble
on Washington Square in front of the
Mutualista hall at 7 o’clock p. m. and
at 7:30 will move in the following route:
From the hall north on San Saba street
to Commerce street down that street to
Military plaza and around the City hall
to Dolorosa street. Through this street
to Main plaza the column will pass and
around this plaza to Commerce street. At
St. Alary’s street the procession will
turn and pass to Houston street thence
to Main avenue and then to the San
Pedro park through Main and
San Pedro avenues. Torches and fire-
works will be used In the parade.
The order of march is as folfows:

At San Pedro park the rostrum will be
occupied by the orators of the day mar-
shals invited guests and prominent civil
and military officials.
The declaration of independence will
oe read by Antonio B. Lopez. Then the
little girls will sing the Mexican Nation-
al hymn.
Artillery Salute.
Oration by Miguel Gonzales Dena fol-
lowed by speeches by Juan E. Barrera
Jesus Cervantes and Santos Leal.
After the speaking balls will be given
in the grand pavilion and at the assembly
room of the main saloon on the upper
driveway.
Second day Sept. 16.—At 6a. m. all
societies will assemble and artillery sal-
utes will be fired. These will be inter-
mingled with band music.
At 3 p. m. a concert will he given until
7 o’clock when patriotic hymns will be
sung.

tonio Flores and W. E. Cox.
A ball ends this day.
Third day Sept. 17. —At 6 a. m. the so-
cieties will assemble in front of the Mu-
tualista hall and with music and artillery
salvos will spend an hour. In the after-
noon a concert at San Pedro park pa-
triotic hymns sung and speeches at night

A ball with fireworks at 11 o’clock will
conclude this celebration.

Lodges of this city. A grand con-
cert and ball to celebrate the sev-
enteenth anniversary of the K.and
L. of H will be given at Mission
Garden under the auspices of the
Alamo Germania and Concordia
Lodges. Members and all their
friends will be expected to attend
and an enjoyable time is promised
them. Prof. Carl Beck’s orchestra
will furnish the music. Concert
begins at 8 p.m. sharp. Admission
50 cents for gentlemen and ladies.
