er, D. R. Couch and family.
Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Kidwell
were up from Hawlev since last
issue visiting Aspermont friends.

sion this week making annual
settlement with the tax collector.
H. A. Mullenix spent Tuesday
night in town enroute to Stam-
ford to visit his mother and
brother.
Hamlin and Aspermont ball
teams are billed to play a match-
ed game on Aspermont diamond
Saturday.
Otis Osborn was released from
the penitentiary on the 15th, is
now at Rotan, but is expected in
Aspermont today.
W. A. Metcalfe, general ad-
juster for the Moline Plow Co.,
-with headquarters at Dallas, was
in our town this week.
The Aspermont ball boys went
over to Hamlin last Saturday and
let the Hamlin team show them
how the game was played. The
score stood 17 to 11 in favor of
Hamlin.

Hugh Metcalfe, an ex-citizen1
of Aspermont but now living at
Emma, was a court visitor this
week.
Judge C. C. Higgins and attor-
ney Jno. D. Hopson were

Mrs. Will Marr and children
left Monday for Harlington, Tex-
as, to join Mr. Marr and make
that place their home.
Mrs. T. W. Jordan and daugh-
ter, Ila'Lee mother and sister of
Mrs. W. P. Guest, are up from
Thurber on a visit to the latter.
Mrs. W. G. Owsley left Mon-
day for Hamlin where she was
joined by her father and mother
on an excursion to San Antonio.

Mr. R. J. Madden who has been

home. Mr. Madden has associat-
ed himself with Mr. G. Harrison

Daniel who will push the Real
Estate and abstract of Title busi-
ness. These gentlemen advise
that they will at once commence
a series of advertising to bring
Aspermont and Stonewall county
to the front.
