dresses on Sunday afternoons at the
Y. M. C. A. hall at what is known as
.the men's meeting spoke on the ques-
ition "Is a Religious Life Necessary to
Our Full Development?" yesterday.
To illustrate his meaning he used four
prominent personages In his discus
feion. He referred to John L. Sullivan
as an example of physical life: ta Dan-
iel Webster as a physical and intel-
lectual life; Robert G. Ingersoll as a
man physically intellectually and mor-
ally and to William Gladstone as the
{perfect man. physically intellectually
morally and spiritually. "How Is a
Religious Life Obtained?" will be his
.subject for next Sunday afternoon.
The boys' gospel meeting was large-
ly attended and was addressed by Dr.
‘Scudder on "Is He a Pleasant Child?"
iThe speaker suggested five requisites
for a boy to lead a pleasant life which
are "Joyousness Earnestness Sinceri-
'ty. Usefulness and Sinlessness.” and
spell the name Jesus. Next Sunday
Dr. Scudder will speak of India and its
boys.
